Tucked away in a remote corner of the country, Antelope Pass Vista is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. At a height of 6151 feet (1875 meters), Antelope crossing is a significant mountain crossing. In three miles of hairpin twists, the ascent is exceedingly steep, rising 1,000 feet.
As you stand at the vista point, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking panorama that extends as far as the eye can see. State Route 89A is the offical name of the summit road. It is hilly and paved. Just outside of Bitter Springs, the road zigzags along a cliff edge as it approaches the pass. From Bitter Springs to Lake Powell, the road up to the summit is about 26 miles (43 km) long.
